Free mobile ringtone

Usually people ask me, how to make a free mobile ringtone?

It`s easy!:
I use this way: convert AAC to MID files to use MP3 files as mobile ringtones:

First - you have to take a clip of your MP3 that is no longer than 20 seconds or so
Second - you have to get a copy of Nokia Theme Studio (you can find it here), or other mobile ringtone converter
Third - Create a theme with Theme Studio and insert the ringtone into the theme on to your phone
Fourth - save the theme on your phone (in themes directory) and then activate the theme
Done! Your ringtone will work now at your mobile phone!

Sorts of cell phone ringtones

Written by Dingo on 6:55 PM

There are a lot of genres and sorts of cell phone ringtones in the ringing world and in this article I'm going to explain what everyting is and means.

Monophonic ringtones
Monophonic cell phone ringtones were the first ringtones available for cell phones. But now they are kind of fading away because of the other "better" sorts of ringtones for cell phone. Monophonic ringtones are ringtones wich are based on one single tone. You can say, they're made with only one "instrument".

Polyphonic ringtones
Polyphonic cell phone ringtones are the follow up for monophonic ringtones. They're based on more tones (instruments). Almost all phones support them because they're beginning to become a little old. But there are still a lot of people who have polyphonic ringtones on their phone because they are the best quality cell phone ringtones in the lowest price area.

Mp3 ringtones
Mp3 ringtones are also called realtones or real ringtones. Mp3 ringtones consist of real mp3 music from the real artist. But because it's the real music, you have to pay more for the realtones because of the payments to the real artist of the song. But they sound a lot better when your phone 'rings'.

Truetones
Truetones are realtones, but they're real sounds. Mostly funny sounds, like a mouing cow, or a fart. These truetones are very popular with kids because they sound so funny. Also the truetones are based on mp3 so not all mobile phones support them yet. But they probably will in the near future.

Well, these are probably all the sorts and genres of cell phone ringtones available for now. But there will probably be more sorts available soon because this is a very fast market that changes all the time.

How to download free mp3 ringtone to PC

Here is a big archive of a free mp3 ringtones to PC: http://www.mrcrusoe.com/media.html

Now you can ask me: How can ring tones be uploaded directly to the phone?

Most phones will not allow a direct input of the ringtone on the mobile phone, so if you don't want to use one of the services that are available online, sending the ringtones by Smart Messages, you can transfer them from the PC.

1. The connection environment that you will use to connect the phone and the computer. One possibility is the infrared connection, or infrared, if your computer has and infrared device and your phone has it too. If no such connection is available then a connection through a datacable is your other option, a data cable can be purchased at specialized stores (you can find it by Google). Now lets try to upload your ringtones!

Once the connection between the devices is established you will need a specialized software (I say about it in previous post). Such software can be bought but you can also find shareware software that you can download.

Now you know how you can change the ringtone your phone uses. Remember that if your phone has bluetooth or Irda you can just connect to friends that have phones with the same connection possibilities for an easier transfer.

How can I change my polyphonic ringtone?

Written by Dingo on 6:42 PM

Company mobile phone makers has a system of it's own so it depends a lot on what cellphone you have. With Samsung phones you can use a web-based ringtone composer and design the ringtones that you can then manually input in your cell phone. Also, you can find pre-designed ringtones on the web that you can download or input into the phone.

Only a few Nokia phones have a ringtone composer, if your phone doesn't have a ring tone composer but supports customizable ringtones then the only way to use them on your phone is to connect the phone to your computer through a data cable or a "Smart Message" can be sent, containing the ringtone.

With new phones, ringtones can also be sent from phone to phone or from computer to phone through other data connections such as bluetooth or infrared, making the ring tone transfer and other transfers a lot easier.
Having a custom ringtone on the cell phone you own has mov from something special to a fashion kind of development. Everyone has his phone singing the song that he heard this morning or an 80`s hit or just some song that is special to the mobile phone owner.
